This class, taught by local photographer Ed Post, will cover all the basics of capturing the perfect winter picture in a natural setting. It also will include a history of the Grand Haven lighthouses and a living history performance. Participants may arrive at 9 a.m. to sign in, get packets and enjoy tea, coffee and light breakfast options. The photography class will begin at 10 a.m.

Lunch will be provided by the Village Baker and will be served at 12:30. Following lunch, participants are encouraged to travel to Grand Haven to experience and photograph local iconic nature scenes and landmarks such as the Grand Haven Lighthouse with its newly restored catwalk. We have some additional surprises planned too, such as a silent auction, and all participants will have the chance to win a raffle basket and other prizes. The event will conclude at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum in Grand Haven with music by Sweetwater Journey. A light supper will be served at this time.

Cost is $75, which includes lunch, a light supper and all materials.

Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather. The afternoon will be spent partially in the outdoors. Layered clothing is recommended. Participants are also encouraged to bring binoculars, a camera and a notepad.
